R2 at Teeside with live streaming on Norasport TV

We have just returned from a fantastic weekend of action in round 2 of British Superlite Championship. With COVID guidelines still in place no spectators were allowed, so we were thrilled to be given the chance to have the final practice on Saturday stream live curiosity of www.tv.norsport.co.uk.

During the session we were able to get very close to the drivers as they waited in the holding area and asked them to explain why they are so passionate about the sport. Thank you Tony Turner, Mark Rushton, Ben Smalley and Simon Nutter for sharing what makes you so excited about Superlites.

The live stream concluded with a short interview with S10 driver Tony Turner telling us how it felt to be out there in his new 1000. To let you know more about how it feels he recorded live during a race, view his footage.

The Noraport TV video can be viewed in full on our Facebook page here.

The weather was pretty kind to us this weekend which lead to some extremely fast lap times, a few S10’s recorded under 1.04 minutes, the fastest ever times for the Superlites on the Teeside track.

Following the format of last year all classes raced together and had to qualify to take part in either the A and B races. Phil Lee, the most experienced S10 driver took poll position to start the A race in first place, with Paul Hudson another of the S10 drivers taking second place on the grid. As we did at Three Sisters we went live on Facebook to cover the action in each of races. Footage of each race together with the names of all the R2 class winners can be viewed on our Facebook page.

On behalf of all involved in the Superlite series we would like to say thank you to Peter Heyworth and Neil Jay of Norasport TV and that we hope you can join us again soon.
